Amara Sargent passed away suddenly at the age of 21, shortly after giving birth to a healthy baby boy on August 7 2020.
Amara was born in Grand Junction Colorado to Damon Sargent and Jennifer Cauldron on April 30, 1999. She was a beautiful healthy baby girl, she came to live with her father (me) shortly after her birth, and she quickly became the center of my universe. We grew up together in the little house on main street, she taught me how to be a father and to love something more than myself. She had an amazing childhood in Coalville. She loved to walk up to the library and pick out books to read and have her dad paint her nails.
When she was five she moved to Southern Utah with her dad and soon after gained a mom Misty Sargent and a new brother and sister Alize and Phoenix. She loved her siblings and her cousin Baylen, Treyson and Ashton more than they know. Amara graduated high school at 17 from Southern Utah Adult High School, she loved children and thought about being a nanny.
She decided to try and become a lifeguard when she was 16 and half way through the course she got scared of failing and called me to come get her, she came back home got a little pep talk and jumped into the pool and started training and she worked until she was able to pass every swim test. I could see the pride in her eyes and it made me so proud to see her pick herself up and accomplish a goal she set. Although her life was cut short she had made two major accomplishments she saved a life when she came into this world and she created a life before she left it. I know Amaras final moments were the happiest and most amazing of her life, because she got to spend them with her beautiful new son Kaziah in her arms.
