Artel Eddington Paskett, age 92, passed away on April 18, 2012, of natural causes at the Family Tree in Morgan, Utah.
Artel was born in Morgan, Utah on January 21, 1920 to David Errol and Catherine C. Eddington. She spent her school years in Morgan with summer breaks on the family homestead in Lost Creek. She married Grant R. Paskett on June 27, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple, then making Henefer their lifelong home. She spent her early married years helping in the family-owned sheep operation. Artel loved being out in the hills, riding horses and caring for the lambs.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in many positions, but her favorite was serving as an officiator along with her husband in the Ogden Temple.
She had a special love for her cats and enjoyed many hours doing crafts and hand work.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 72 years, her parents, and three grandchildren. She is survived by two sons: Michael E. (Connie) of Smithfield, Utah and Philip G (Earleen) of Henefer, Utah; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four Indian Placement children.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, April 23, at the Henefer LDS Church. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 at the Henefer Church, and one hour prior to services.
Interment will be at the Henefer Town Cemetery.
