Betty Jean Norris died on Feb. 2, 2012 in Ogden, Utah. Betty was born in International Falls, Minnesota on Feb. 10, 1926. She was married to the late Charles H. Norris. Betty was the daughter of Eugene and Pearl Frank Enhelder.
As a teen Betty and her family moved to San Diego, California. She lived there for 50 years before moving to Utah to be close to family. Betty raised 3 daughters, then went to nursing school and worked as an LPN for 21 years. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served for many years as a temple worker in the Provo Temple. Betty also volunteered at Utah Valley Hospital working with newborns.
Betty loved knitting and made sure each great-grandchild received a new blanket at their birth. She also enjoyed doing genealogy, traveling, and staying active.
Betty Jean is survived by her daughters, Pamela Roach, Shirley Goode, and Barbara Norris. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Merlin Goode; one brother and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the South Morgan Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North, Morgan, UT from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the services.
