Carol Lee White Hardy
Carol Lee White Hardy "Grandma Honey", 71, returned to walk with Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving family at her home August 19, 2007. She was born to Thelma Mae and Lester Elmer White in Porterville, Utah on August 23, 1935. She graduated from Morgan High School and married her high school sweetheart and eternal companion Val Dean Hardy in 1953. This marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. She worked at Hill Air Force Base for 11 years. She also served as the first female County Commissioner for two, two year terms. In addition, she loved to work with the children at the Morgan Elementary as a librarian. Carol volunteered her kindness and services in many other countless ways. After retirement she and her husband served a six year mission on temple square. She was an active member of the LDS church and served diligently in all her callings. Carol Lee Hardy is survived by her life long companion Val Dean Hardy as well as her Six beautiful daughters: Janette (Bill) Larsen, Lori (Randy) Bice, Val (Jim) Nelson, Kris (Pete) Vel, Holly Erhart and Keli (Dale) Shook. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. In addition she is survived by three sister and 2 brothers; LouAnn Rich, Wayne White, Judy Colson, Shannah Nelson and Jerry White. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the South Morgan LDS Stake Center, 335 N. 700 E. Friends and family may call Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. "Grandma Honey your memories and stories will live on with us forever." Interment will be held at the South Morgan Cemetery under the direction of Walker Mortuary.
