Cathy Anne Dinsdale

A light has gone out of our lives – But the love you gave will shine forever.

Cathy Anne Dinsdale passed from this life April 4, 2024. She was 77 years old.

Cathy was born February 11, 1947 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Frank W and Edna Jaques Little. She was raised in Morgan, Utah, a place that she loved. She graduated from Morgan High School with the class of 1965. She attended Steven’s Henager College.

On February 18, 1967, she marred Joel E. Poor in Morgan. He was in the military which took them to many places. She especially loved Europe and their travels there. They later divorced but remained lifelong friends.

On November 2, 1984, she married Don Dinsdale in the Ogden LDS Temple. They made their home in Morgan. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in many callings. She especially loved working with the little children and they loved her. She and Don served as ushers on Temple Square. They were part of a family home evening group which met monthly and continued for many years.

She was a member of the Daughter’s of Utah Pioneers which she loved being a part of.

She worked at Ogden Regional Medical Center for many years where she retired from.

In 2015, Cathy met her daughter, Denise for the first time after 49 years. It was a dream come true for both of them. They bonded and immediately and the last 9 years were spent making up for lost time. They started talking that day in 2015 and never stopped.

Cathy was the most giving, loving, and caring person you could ever meet. She loved people and loved to serve others. She loved with her whole heart.

Cathy is survived by her children: Denise (Michael), Carrie (Bob), Rani (Mick), Donna (Deen), Amy (Chad), and Erin. 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Siblings: Craig (Laurie), Kim (Peggy), and Annette (Doug), many nieces, nephews, and friends. Also her “shared dog” Trixie.

A viewing will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary. The funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the Field Street Church house (240 S. 300 W., Morgan, Utah 84050). A viewing will take place at the church preceding the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the South Morgan Cemetery.
