Cenious Waldron

MORGAN a�" Cenious T. Waldron, 89, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 in Layton, Utah.

He was born February 17, 1918 in Malad, Idaho, a son of Levi Glispie Waldron and Sarah Eliza Thomas of Samaria, Idaho.

On Sept. 12, 1947, he married Edna Croft in Green River, Wyoming.

Cenious was a graduate of Albion State Normal School, Albion, Idaho in 1939. In 1938, he won the AAU Golden Glove Boxing Championship in the 126 lb bantam weight for the Western States. Cenious was in the U.S. Navy Air Corp from 1941 to 1945 during WWII. He served in the South Pacific as a co-pilot and bombardier, flying B-26 Martin Marauder and Later A-20 light bomber aircraft.

Cenious become principal of the Samaria Grade School from 1947 to 1950. He then moved his family to Utah to finish up his education at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

Cenious worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired after 32 years of service.

Surviving are his two stepsons and one step daughter: Walter Croft Willie, Wasilla Alaska; Allen Scott (Helga) Willie, Syracuse, Utah; and Alona Willie (Randy) Pentz, Croydon, Utah; 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Also surviving are one sister, Merle Waldron (Bill) McKissick of Corpus Christy, Texas; a sister-in-law, Wanda Croft Skeen of Bringham City, Utah; and a brother-in-law, Jim Frazier of Brigham City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a loving spouse, one stepdaughter, five brothers, six sisters, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at 12 Noon at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. on Monday.

Interment, Enterprise Cemetery.
