Charles Michael Rich, born on May 22, 1950, in Ogden, Utah, left this world on September 17, 2024, in South Ogden, at the age of 74. He was a beloved husband, brother, and friend, whose kindness and loving spirit touched the lives of all those who were fortunate enough to him.
A proud graduate of Morgan High School, Charles was known for his warm heart and his non-judgmental nature, which endeared him to many. He had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went, with everyone drawn to his young-at-heart demeanor and genuine affection for those around him. Charles married Paule Francoise Beysson on May 7, 1983 and were later sealed in the Ogden Temple on June 22, 1985. Charles cherished his family deeply, especially his wife, with whom he shared many beautiful years.
Throughout his life, Charles held a variety of interests that contributed to his vibrant personality. He had a particular love for reading, often immersing himself in countless books. His fondness for watching McGyver displayed his appreciation for creativity and problem-solving, reflecting his own hobbies of fiddling with electronics.
Charles is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found great joy in attending church often with his wife. Charles and Paule were rarely apart.
Charles was a social soul who loved to partake in gatherings, frequently ensuring he was present at every party, particularly eager for the food that accompanied these joyful celebrations. His laughter and warmth will be sorely missed by those who had the pleasure of sharing in those moments with him.
The kindness of the Beysson family (Charles' in-laws), was a great blessing in helping care for Charles and his wife for many years. They had a special place in Charles heart and he loved them deeply.
He is survived by his loving wife, Paule; his mother, Sharon Rich; his brothers, Brad (Sharon) Rich and Randel (Tena) Rich, and his sisters, Roxanne Rich and Kris (Rick) Sauls. Charles is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lavella Rich. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Malen Rich, and his brother, Craig Rich.
A viewing will take place on September 21, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Walker Mortuary - Morgan, located at 45 W 200 N St, Morgan, UT. A graveside service will follow on the same day at South Morgan Cemetery, 335 S State St, Morgan, UT, starting at 1:00 PM.
The family would like to thank all the care-givers that helped Charles in the later years.
As we reflect on the life of Charles Rich, we are reminded of the profound impact he had on our lives—a man who truly exemplified kindness and love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, as we continue to honor the gentle spirit he imparted in so many ways.
