Colleen Jensen Morgan passed away peacefully 23 November 2021, at her daughter’s home. She returned to her Heavenly home to hold the hand of her sweetheart; never to part again.
She was born the 13 August 1933 to Fernando Jensen and Eva Heiner in Morgan, Utah. She lived in Morgan all of her life and was grateful to call it home.
She married her sweetheart Lee Preston Morgan 5 July 1951 in the Logan Temple. They made their home together in Morgan for 62 years. Their love for each other grew with every passing day and they truly became one!
She thanks her family for the love and support they have given since their dad’s passing. Her children and their families brought her great joy. She was involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was there for the birth of every one of her
grandchildren. She loves each one of her posterity and thanks them for the blessings they have brought into her life.
She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers in her yard, reading the scriptures, going to the Temple to do ordinances, spent many years collecting family records and doing the temple work for her deceased ancestors that she will now have the joy of meeting; she sewed clothes for her children when they were home, made artificial flower arrangements, and enjoyed life’s many opportunities.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the years she held many ward and stake positions, and loved all the friends she made as a Visiting Teacher. She loved teaching the Gospel. She especially loved working in German Name Extraction for many years with her husband. German records became special to her. She was working in Family Indexing doing German records until a year before her death. Together, she and Lee served in the Ogden Temple for thirteen years and loved every minute of it.
They filled a mission in the Ogden 13th Ward and made many forever friends.
She had many special friends over the years that she cherished and they know who they are. Thanks go to all of her temple friends for the many years of serving together and loving each other. They truly became family.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents Fernando and Eva Jensen, her Eternal Companion Lee Morgan, a brother Ray [Marti] Jensen and a sister Marie [Vernon] Bryner. She is survived by her sister: Linda [Bill] Roberts.
Her five children are all living. They are Gloria [Dale] Lindley, Denice Orton, Brent [Sandy] Morgan, Pam [Daryl] Westbroek, and Lorrie [Corey] Preece. They each made sure that their Mother’s needs were met.
