Daisy Rich Brimley, 94, received her one-way ticket to Heaven on Feb 12, 2016, after having her "bags packed and ready to go" for nearly 37 years since the passing of her one and only love, John Brimley. Daisy was born July 5, 1921 to Richard H. and Antoinette (Nettie) Neuberger Rich. She married John Fry Brimley on September 25, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Daisy was employed by Jay Williams and Sons. She had many talents, which included farming, gardening, general contracting, and mechanical work. Many people would always call her for advice on farming and gardening. She built her own home with her husband John and helped many people with their building projects. She was also an avid bowler and softball player, and played on many winning teams.
Every year, for 50 years on the 3rd of July, Daisy would host the family reunion party at her house, which has left fond memories for all that attended.
Daisy was known for her love of playing games and having a well manicured yard. Mowing her yard herself up until this winter, even with declining eyesight, on her riding lawnmower. Daisy was also well known in Morgan for her compassionate service and would help anyone in need. She provided care and meals for many people in Morgan.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped Daisy, especially in her later years. We would also like to give a special thanks to all the staff of “Angels” from Encompass Home Health; Especially Cory, Sheryl, Cassie, and Kaylee.
Graveside Services will be held at the South Morgan Cemetery on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm. All are invited.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Daisy Brimley’s name to the Morgan Senior Center, PO BOX 866, Morgan, UT 84050 - Attn: Jeanne Allen.
Daisy loved this center and the people there, playing games with them twice a week.
