Wilson Dale Bohman, 89, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday July 1, 2007.
He was born July 4, 1917 in South Weber, Utah to Victor Rudolph and Nancy Aurora Fernelius Bohman. On May 2, 1941 he was married to Jean Holbrook in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Dale was a graduate of Morgan High School and attended Weber College.
After their marriage, Dale and Jean moved to Metropolis, Nevada where they worked with Jean's brother on a cattle ranch. Later, they moved back to Peterson, and while living there he worked for Wilkinson Construction, Morgan County Roads and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation as a heavy equipment operator, where he worked on the construction of canals and reservoirs, and then the Weber Basin Job Corps as assistant work director, where he retired.
Dale was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many callings, including Elders Quorum President, Sunday School President, Bishop, High Counselor, Stake Auditor and Quorum Instructor.
He was active in the community and served on the board of directors for Peterson Irrigation, Peterson Pipeline Association, and Peterson Cemetery Association.
He loved the out-of-doors, hunting, fishing, and working with his family on the farm.
Dale is survived by his wife, Jean Holbrook Bohman, and his children D. Frank (Linda) Bohman, San Antonio, TX., V. Fred (Jane) Bohman, Aiken, S.C., Gary H. Bohman (Alane), W. Bountiful, UT., Burt P. Bohman, Peterson, UT., Catherine Atwater, Provo, UT., W. Gene (Diane) Bohman, Peterson, Utah, Suzanne (Brad) Nistler, Ogden, UT., Annette (Mark) Dicou, South Salt Lake, UT. He is also survived by 31 grand children and 56 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, three sisters, and one grandchild, Daniel B. Bohman.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and physicians of Vista Care Hospice for their kind and gentle care. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Morgan Utah North Stake Center at 2755 W. Old Hwy Rd., Morgan, UT. Family and friends may call Thursday, July 5, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. and 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Friday also at the Stake Center. (I-84 exit 96, then east on Old Hwy Rd.) Interment will be at the Peterson Cemetery.
