David Foulger

March 29, 1939 — November 24, 2008

Wanship - David Cragun Foulger, 69, died November 24, 2008 in Echo, Utah. He was born March 29, 1939 to goodly parents, Walton Evans Foulger and Lucy Cragun Foulger in Ogden, Utah. His second mom, Lucy Lee Foulger, also had a large impact on his life.

On April 22, 1961, he married Deanna Harding in Salt Lake City, Utah. After the journeys of nearly 40 really good years together, she died in 2000.

He was raised in American Fork, Utah and graduated from AF High School in 1957 and attended BYU, graduating with a B.S. in Psychology. He served time in the US Air Force. David's most loved career was found in teaching; he taught Special Ed at Wendover, Tooele and Granger High Schools. Later, after receiving a Master's degree in Mathematics at the U of U, he taught Math until retiring.

During summers, he worked for the US Forest Service. Dave enjoyed camping, traveling and blackpowder rendezvous with his family and friends. Park City, where he operated a miner's shack as a ski rental was a second home and led to bigger and better things. Dave enjoyed skiing his entire life. After retiring, he and Deanna established the Tiny Ass Ranch in Wanship where they raised a menagerie of smallish equine.

He enjoyed the association of many good friends and organizations over the years.

Surviving are two children: Jonathan Foulger and Joanna (Mark) Averett of Redlands, CA; and a grandson, Jacob David Averett. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters: John (Marci); Mike (Becky); Alice Halverstadt and Kathryn Ann (James) Lawrence.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 45 W. 200 N. Morgan, Utah.
