David Johnson

November 20, 1942 — April 20, 2011

Loved by many, David "Dave" E. Johnson passed away peacefully at his home in Morgan, UT on April 20, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.

Along with honorable discharges from various branches of the service Dave proudly retired after 39 years with Hill Air Force Base from which he was awarded several exemplary certificates and allowed him to enjoy extensive travel to various places, some of which included Korea, Canada, Guam, Philippines and Hawaii.

David had a natural talent for photography, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a certified scuba diver with which he participated in water search and rescue.

Born in Ontario, OR on November 20, 1942 to William H. and Veda Johnson. He lost his beloved wife of 16 years, Jonna Mae Conley Johnson on October 9, 2002 and is survived by his only sibling LaVera (Jim) Rumpel having 1 nephew Doug Rumpel and four children: Lorene Rae (Gib) Earl having 7 of his grandchildren, Larry David Wilson-Johnson, Gerry E. Johnson having 2 of his grandchildren, JoDee Marie (Reid) Osten. Also survived by four stepchildren: John Thomas (Peggy) Burton having 6 of his grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Erin Jean (Len) Keenen having 3 of his grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, Lauri Ann (Phil) Royall having 5 of his grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, and James Howard (Lisa) Burton having 3 of his grandchildren.

David was a lot of things, but above all he was and still is loved by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan, UT. Viewings will be held Sunday evening from 6-8pm and Monday from 11-11:45am.

Interment will be at the South Morgan Cemetery
