Daylene Nalder Coy

November 25, 1941 — December 9, 2024

Morgan

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Daylene Nalder Coy, passed away December 9, 2024, at the age of 83, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Daylene was born on November 25, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Howard and Wanda Banford Nalder. She was the third of five girls and grew up with a strong work ethic and love for her family. As a young girl, she cherished the time spent with her father, particularly when she helped him haul hay.

Daylene graduated from Davis High School, where she was an active member of the Proscola club. She was sealed to her eternal companion, Keith Gary Coy, in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple July 19, 1963. Together, they raised five wonderful children, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and faith.

Daylene’s devotion to the gospel of Jesus Christ was evident throughout her life. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many callings in the Church, including Young Women’s President, Relief Society President, and Scout leader, just to name a few. She was dedicated to serving others and touched countless lives through her kind and selfless service. Daylene's love for the Lord and His children was reflected in everything she did, and she was always quick to offer a helping hand.

In addition to her Church service, Daylene worked for the Morgan school district, where she touched the lives of many students and coworkers until her retirement. She and her sweetheart Keith later served a service mission in the Ogden Inner-City Mission with the Church’s Distribution Services, continuing their shared love for serving others.

Daylene had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She enjoyed spending time in her yard, where she found peace and joy. She loved camping with her family, supporting her grandkids at their sports and events, and always made time to be present for the important moments in their lives.

Daylene’s passions also included solving Sudoku puzzles, watching her favorite Hallmark movies, and enjoying a good episode of Dateline while Keith was fast asleep. Her warmth, humor, and infectious love for her family will be deeply missed. Daylene leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service. Until we meet again, we know she will be watching over us with love (and haunting those that didn’t learn to play the piano, as she promised).

Daylene is survived by her eternal companion, Keith Gary Coy, and their five children: Andrea (Jason) White, Kristine (Mike) Krammer, Matthew (Lisa) Coy, Nathan (Kate) Coy, and Jennifer (Matt) McKee, along with twenty-seven grandchildren: Casey (Laice) Butler, Brandi (Shaun) Petersen, Kylee (Jason) Dagsen, Katelyn White, Steven (Koda) Krammer, Kelsey (Joshua) Keller, Cassidy Young (Tyler Nelson), Austin (Kambri) Coy, Ashton Coy (Anyssia Mestas), Makenzie Coy, Kaden (Bryn) Mathews, Broc (McKinlee) Mathews, Trace Mathews (Jeff Hsia), Kylee McKee, Ryker McKee, Finnigan Coy and seven great-grandchildren Liam, Avery, Wyatt, Jovie, Lyriq, Emory, and Lucas, all of whom were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Alma (Rod) Charlesworth.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Wanda Nalder, her sisters, LaRae Nalder, Edra Sue Porter, AlDean Wixom, and other beloved family members.
