We lost an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and all around great man on July 18, 2018. Dean passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
He was born to Wendell and Clovis Judkins in Ogden, Utah. He was raised in Warren, Utah and attended Weber County Schools. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Pat Carter, the love of his life, on June 8, 1962 and their marriage was later solemnized for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on November 14, 1998. They made their home in Morgan surrounded by family and friends.
Dean was a brick mason for many years and took pride in all the houses that he bricked. He also worked for the Morgan County School District where he retired. He was known as Papa Dean to so many kids that he loved as much as they loved him. He will be deeply missed by all those his life touched. At the time of his passing, he was working for Round Valley Golf Course where he enjoyed being in the morning sunshine.
Dean and Pat have two wonderful children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife and children, Mark & Melinda McMillan and Kevin & Leslie Judkins. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and followed them for any and all events. Dave & Dezarae, Chans & Hailee, Colby & Brittany, TJ, Zade & Baylie, Tyler and 11 great-grandchildren – Averie, Alyvia, Josilyn, Will, Channing, Lilli, Rosilyn, Quade, Kace, Mack, and Holt. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father in-law, sister and grandson Will as well as brothers in-law and a sister in-law.
Dad loved to tend to his lawn and garden. He took great pride in all that he did and had an amazing work ethic. He will be forever in our hearts.
