MORGAN - George Dee Kippen, age 76, passed from this life on October 29, 2015 in St. George, Utah. The youngest son of ten children, he was born on July 25, 1939 in Porterville, Utah to Charles Robert and Maggie Tonks Kippen. He was a graduate of Morgan High School.
On December 22, 1978, he married Connie Walker and in 1997 their marriage was sealed in the Ogden Temple.
Dee and his brothers were born and raised as sheep men; they loved the ranch life and as brothers they worked alongside their dad who created C.R. Kippen and Sons. Later, Dee was a partner in Kippen Brothers and also was President of Bar K Farm and Ranch.
Partial to outdoor living, Dee loved 4-wheeling, camping with his family, hunting and fishing - as well as ice fishing. He treasured the fishing and hunting trips he took to Alaska and the pheasant hunting trips to North Dakota with friends. Dee and Connie enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity of visiting many places around the world.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dee was faithful in his callings in Young Men, Elders Quorum, High Priests, closing the church and as a Home Teacher.
Dee is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Connie; three children: Brent Robert Kippen, Angela Kippen Rich (David Allan Rich II), Evan Dee Kippen (Sarah Hatch Kippen); and four grandchildren: Capri Mae Rich, David Allan Rich III, Chesnee Dee Rich, and Dane Clarence Rich. Also surviving are a brother and three sisters: Fred Kippen, Colleen Berg, Neeta Nelson and Leeta Shisler.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Marion Porter, Lucille Nelson, Darrell Kippen, LaRue Mortenson, and Leland Kippen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Porterville Chapel, 2700 S. Morgan Valley Drive, in Morgan County. A viewing will be held at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church Monday morning from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the South Morgan Cemetery.
Dee was an exceptional husband, father and grandfather and left an amazing legacy of love .
