Deloras Bernice Hemming, 81, of Morgan, UT, passed away on August 7, 2023, surrounded by loved ones peacefully in her sleep.
Deloras was born on July 18, 1942, to Virgil Warren Garner and Bernice Young in Ogden, UT. She was the fourth born child of twelve siblings. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in the class of 1960.
From Deloras’s first marriage, she had three daughters. Annette, Michelle, and Stacey, whom she loved very much. In 1972, Deloras met the love of her life, Tom Hemming. They were together for seven years before they married on August 18, 1979. Her and Tom truck pulled for many years, which she enjoyed and made many friends. She was also very family oriented and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
She retired from Chromalox, where she made many lifelong friends.
Deloras is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom Hemming of Morgan, UT. Her daughters, Annette (Jennifer Bradley) Stark of Clinton, UT, Michelle Lamb of Prescott, AZ, and Stacey Taylor of Morgan, UT. Two stepchildren; Heidi (Brett) McColloch of Ogden, UT and Shane (Jamie) Hemming of Ogden, UT. Her two granddaughters, Alexandria (Jordan) Howard and Angela Raye Lamb and three great-grandchildren, Colt, Emery, and Sarah. Her siblings; Keven (Debbie) Garner, MaryAnn (Bob) Jones, Julie (Allen) Bennett, and Richard (Janice) Garner.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Ronny Garner and Rodney Garner and four sisters; Irene Mortenson, Sharon Dolan, Shirley Kay Schmidt, and Teresa Garner.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday August 12th at 11 AM at the South Morgan Cemetery (335 S State St. Morgan, UT 84050). There will be a luncheon provided by the 4th Ward Relief Society after at the Field St. Church (240 Field St, Morgan, UT 84050).
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to her hospice nurse, Crystal, for the excellent care and compassion that she provided our Mom in her time of need. We would also like to thank the staff at Family Tree Assisted Living for the outstanding day to day care that they provided for her.
