Don Edward Royer
Don Edward Royer, 87, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Born in Coalmont, Indiana, on October 23, 1919, he was the son of John Harve and Stella May (Nicholson) Royer. He married Dorothy (Blanton) Lynn on February 15, 1983.
Don worked for the Mobil Oil Company Refinery and retired in 1984. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a WW II veteran in the US Army. While in the service of his country he received the EAME Theater ribbon with two Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lynn Royer; two sons: Martell (Kathy) Royer of Merrillville, IN, and Ronlin Lee (Phyllis Hallett) Royer of Abiquiu, NM; two daughters: Utahna Dawn (Richard) Ordyna of Mountain Green, UT, and Deena Kay (James) Zieglosky of Morgan, UT; Stepchildren: Robert Alan (Connie) Lynn of Riley, IN, Diana (Dan) Lahmann of Linton, and Barbara (Lynn) Bland of Bedford, IN. Thirteen grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and 26 grt-grandchildren also survive.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Laura Edith Royer, Gwenneth Revel Royer, three brothers, Alto Eldo Royer Don Edward and Delmar Leon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Funeral services were held at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel on Monday, June 25, 2007.
Graveside services and interment will be Monday, July 2, 2007 with full military rites in the Morgan Cemetery in Morgan, Utah.
