Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Doris May Wagner Truman, age 82, passed away Oct. 1, 2008 in Sandy, Utah.
She was born March 7, 1926 in Los Angeles, California to Carl Francis and Mary Bazan Wagner. She married her eternal sweetheart, Ervin T. Truman, Feb. 23, 1946 in Los Angeles, Calif. Their marriage was solemnized March 20, 1954 in the St. George LDS Temple.
Doris had a passion for family history work. She was asked by the city of Enterprise to research its history and gather facts that were later published into a book about the city. Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings in the various auxiliaries of her ward. She was always supportive of her children and their activities and was always concerned for their well-being.
Doris is survived by her husband, Ervin T. Truman; sons: Carl (Margaret) Truman, Bruce (Claudette) Truman, Dean (Elizabeth) Truman, Russell (Kathy) Truman, Brian (Jana) Truman; two daughters: Nancy (Douglas) Dowding, Betty (Michael) Hassell; 27 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Wagner; and sister, Betty Block.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 at Enterprise City Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday at the Enterprise 5th Ward chapel from 12 Noon to 1:30 p.m.
