Dorothy Packard

Dorothy Hunt Packard, 81, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and favorite aunt, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born August 1, 1928 in Park City, Utah to William and Lottie Hunt. She married Willis Packard on May 31, 1947 in Porterville, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Dorothy worked at Earls Market and retired from the First National Bank of Morgan, where she formed many lasting friendships. Dorothy was a member of the BPW, Literary Club, and Culturettes.

Dorothy was a faithful member of the LDS church. She served in many callings including the Primary, Mutual, and Relief Society.

Dorothy and Willis enjoyed traveling. They went on numerous trips. They loved to go camping in the Uinta's, and spent the winters in Yuma.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Willis, her children: Pat (Carlin) Fullmer, Riverdale; Paul Packard, Morgan; Karen Strong, Morgan; and Chris (Carrie) Packard, Riverdale. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Queena and Ed Hinds of Morgan. Dorothy leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Russ, as well as son-in-law Kelly and daughter-in-law Sandy.

The family would like to thank the many loving neighbors and friends as well as Robert and Taren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Morgan 9th Ward Chapel, 2700 So. Morgan Valley Drive in Porterville. Friends and family may call on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Morgan and Monday, Dec 7, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.

Interment will be at South Morgan Cemetery.
