MORGAN - On the night of February 4, 2009, Edie Ann Lewis returned to the loving presence of her Heavenly Father after a valiant and courageous battle against cancer.
She was born on Oct. 23, 1960 in Ogden, Utah to Gordon and Francis Stone who raised her in Milton, Utah. Later, she graduated from Morgan High School. Near that time, on Feb. 17, 1978, she married Bruce Burton Lewis. Their marriage was soon thereafter solemnized in the Ogden Temple.
As a member of the LDS Church, Edie had a strong testimony and an equally-strong love for other people. She served her Lord in many callings, including Young Women's President, Relief Society President, and member of the primary presidency. For a few years, she served the community of Morgan as an EMT, but found more joy being a stay-at-home mother.
Her dedication in raising their disabled daughter, Tessa, showed the love she had for her and for her entire family. She will be greatly missed.
She loved nothing more than the time she spent with her family, especially the time she spent with them at the family cabin in Island Park, Idaho.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gordon and her sister, Lori.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce; four children, Lance (Jennifer); Cody (Nancy); Tony (Amber); and Tessa; two grandchildren, Hannah and Korver.
Also surviving are her mother, Frankie; sisters and brother: DaNae Crane, Lynn Eisele and Bob Peck; mother and father-in-law: Burton and Barbara Lewis; and her lifelong friend, Roxanne Rich.
Special thanks to Jolene Christensen, Home Health Care, and Dawn Hamblin for her daily care of Tessa. Thanks for support of those who knew and loved her, whom she loved in return.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at 12 Noon at the Milton Church. A viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary in Morgan from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, and Monday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be at the South Morgan Cemetery.
