Elaine Francis Branch Elaine Francis Branch, 79, our sweetheart, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007, in Providence, Utah after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born March 18, 1928 in Morgan, Utah to Howard and Jessie Taggart Francis. She attended and graduated from Morgan High School in 1946 after which she attended Brigham Young University and Weber College for one year. She married William J. Branch, June 11, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. She gave birth to eleven children and raised nine. Five sons served faithful missions for the LDS Church and all children have married in the temple and hold Church callings. She used her musical talents throughout her life in church callings and community service both as a vocalist and as a director. For five years she sang in the "Bel Canto Women's Chorus" in Cache Valley as well as numerous trio and other vocal esembles. Her love for singing combined with her beautiful spirit touched all of those she came in contact with. She brightened and lifted so many lives. She had an unshakable testimony of and love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and shared her testimony every day through words and Christ-like example. Together with husband Bill, she served a full-time mission in the Arizona Phoenix Mission from June 1992 through December 1993. She treasured the many memories and friendships made over the years as the family lived in a variety of places including: Morgan, Utah; McKinnon, Wyoming; Centerville, Utah; Snowville, Utah; and the Cache Valley communities of Nibley, Wellsville, and Providence. Elaine is survived by her husband, and children: Kevin (Christine) Branch of Richmond, Utah; Becky Dawn (Richard) Hamblin of Morgan, Utah; Lori B. Stoddard of American Fork, Utah; Randy (Shawna) Branch of Snowville, Utah; Jillene Israelsen (David) Wayment of Providence, Utah; Nolan (LuAnn) Branch of Malta, Idaho; James (Rose) Branch of Wellsville, Utah; LaNae (Carl) Richards of Hyrum, Utah;and William (Reba) Branch of Hyrum, Utah; 45 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild as well as sister Forence Rogers, and brothers Kent, George, and Scott Francis. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Alan and daughter Marlene, brother Don, and sons-in-law Michael MacArthur and Robert Israelsen. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2007 in the Providence, Cobblestone Ward Chapel located at 420 W. 100 N. in Providence, Ut. Viewings will be held at the same chapel from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, November 28 and prior to the funeral from 9:45 until 10:45 AM. The family wishes to extend thanks to the members of the cobblestone ward for visits, food, phone calls, cards, and caring during mothers illness.
