Evelyn Wingle

January 30, 1924 — August 6, 2007

Evelyn Caroline Nicholas Wingle, a loving wife, mom and grandmother, passed from this life on August 6, 2007 at her daughter's home in South Ogden, UT.

Evelyn was born January 30, 1924 in Peterson, UT the sixth of eight children of Leslie and Maude Nicholas. Evelyn married Paul Robert Wingle on April 9, 1944 at Hill Air Force Base.

Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Peterson until September 2006. She loved being in her home and would sometimes welcome visits from her neighbors, friends and family. At other times, she would not answer the door, especially if her house was not spotlessly clean. She loved being a homemaker. Also, she enjoyed cooking, dancing, playing the piano by ear and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Pauline (Wes) Groesbeck of Ogden and Darlene Reeder of Riverdale, son Rex (Susan) Wingle of Morgan, and son-in-law, Richard E. Reeder of Roy and brother Verdun Nicholas (Miko) of North Las Vegas, NV. 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren also survive her. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, son-in-law, Donald A. Bell and most recently her husband of 62 years, Paul.

Friends and family will gather at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan one hour prior to the graveside services that will be held Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the South Morgan Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a celebration of Evelyn's life will be held for her friends and family at the Groesbeck residence a" 1649 East Lakeview Way, Ogden, UT.

The family extends sincere appreciation to the many doctors and medical staff for their caring services and support over the last few years. A special thanks to Dr. Mark Foote for administering numerous treatments that allowed us almost three bonus years with mom. Our heart-felt thanks to Applegate Hospice, especially Jodi and Julie a" you are two angels walking this earth. We love you mom and will miss you greatly.
