Florence Mae Fry Richins died May 16, 2009, at the age of 84, in her home in Morgan, Utah, of cancer. She was born November 14, 1924 to Richard T and Nina Hess Fry and was the fourth child and first daughter.

She married Claude Arnold Richins, September 10, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had two sons and three daughters.

She was employed at Hill Air Force Base after high school. After she married, she was a homemaker and served as Morgan County Treasurer for 16 years. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as a teacher and Sunday school secretary for many years. When she was young she helped on her father's farm and enjoyed swimming at Como Springs. Florence Mae was a great swimmer and diver. She attended and graduated from Morgan High School in 1942. She loved playing the trombone in the band and was Morgan High's first twirling drum majorette. One of her greatest talents was knitting sweaters, socks and gloves by hand. She made many sweaters for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known by the people of Morgan for her friendliness as she bicycled around the town. She was extremely proud of her Morgan heritage and also of being born, raised, living and now being laid to rest in Morgan.

She is survived by her children: Arnold F (Jan) Richins, Cumming, GA; Claudia (Van) Nelson, Morgan (serving an LDS couples mission in Leeds, England); Pauline (Randy) Thompson, North Ogden, UT; Norris R (Karin) Richins, Choteau, MT; and Shirlee (Jim) Wilkerson, Morgan, UT. She is also survived by her younger sister and beloved brother in law, Camille and Reed Wilde, Jr. of Croydon, UT. She has 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her "Sweetheart Claude," and three brothers.
