Francis Warren “Luke” Porter passed away March 26, 2020 in Mesquite, Nevada at the Highland Manor Rehabilitation Center while being treated for the ravages of COPD after being exposed to agent orange while serving as a Marine in Viet Nam.
He was born on Friday July 13, 1945 in Coalville, Utah to Francis Elmer Porter and June Wilde Porter.
He graduated from Morgan Hight School in 1963 and completed heavy equipment training. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corp and served several tours of duty in Viet Nam. He received the Purple Heart while serving in Viet Nam.
He retired from the Holcim Cement Plant in Devils Slide and spent his winters in Scenic, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, Pam Porter Weston (Dale), infant brother, infant son Lance, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his brother Dennis (Lorraine) Porter of Brigham City, UT and many nephews and nieces. Special thanks to June Marie Saxton, who was Luke’s personal “Doctor”.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions being imposed at this time, there will be no viewing or funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with full military honors.
