Frankie Stone

December 11, 1931 — January 7, 2018

Frances "Frankie" Stone, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2018 at the age of 86 in the presence of family and loved ones. She will be remembered for her friendly and loving personality.

Born on December 11, 1931, Frankie was welcomed into the family of David and Edith Tompkins.  She and her elder sister, Ann, were very close in childhood as well as in later adulthood.

Frankie graduated from Ogden High School.  She went on to be a bookkeeper and was later loved as the Morgan County librarian.

On February 18, 1956, Frankie married the love of her life, Gordon V. Stone, to whom she was later sealed for time and eternity in the Ogden Temple on October 18, 2001.

Frankie spent her life in service to others.  She was a caring and selfless person who cared for the wellbeing of those around her.  She was known for saying things like "I love you" and "let me know if I can do anything for you."

Frankie and Gordon loved to visit with people. Their magnetic personalities led to them having many friends.  She loved card games, puzzles, crafts, and bowling.  Loving to travel, they would keep cool during the summers at their cabin in Island Park and stay warm during the winters at Yuma, Arizona.

Frankie, a member of the LDS church, exemplified what it means to be a follower of Christ by showing love for others.  At her passing, she surely has had a wonderful reunion with those who preceded her in death.

Frankie is survived by her daughter, DeNae (Cory); her son-in-law, Bruce (Pam); grandchildren, Jared, Sunny, Carlie, Lance, Cody, Tony, Tessa, and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her parents, David and Edith; daughters Lori and Edie; and her sister, Ann.

Services will be held at the Morgan LDS chapel at 355 N 700 E, Morgan, UT at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 12th.Viewings will be held at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan on Thursday, January 11th from 6 to 8 pm and on Friday at the church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services.
