Gary Randall

MORGAN a�" A great big heart stopped beating on January 30, 2015. Gary Pyrah Randall passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 30, 2015. Gary was born on July 30, 1939 to Alma and Lena Marie Randall in Ogden, Utah.

He graduated from Morgan High in 1957 where he excelled in athletics. He received a full-ride scholarship to play basketball at Utah State. During this time he married his wife, Joy Hannum and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Gary worked many years at Precision Built Homes. In 1983 he started Randall Construction where he enjoyed all of his associations with many fellow subs and friends.

Gary was an active member of the LDS church where he served as Elder's President, Counselor in the Bishopric, High Councilor and Sunday School Superintendent. He was always a faithful home teacher and enjoyed visiting people. He was never short on words or advice.

Gary also served 8 years on the Morgan County School board. He was an avid sports fan and was inducted in the Morgan High School Hall of Fame. He especially loved the Cincinnati Reds, Green Bay Packers and the Utah Jazz.

Some of his favorite things were coaching little league football, basketball, watching games, supporting his kids & grandkids, and dining out especially at Utah Noodle and Gray Cliff.

He is survived by his wife Joy of 57 years; children; Cindy (Brad) Shaw, Roger (Mary Jo) Randall, Teri (Mitch) Ross, Kristine (Mike) Despain, Jodee (Chad) Ovard, & Ryan (Tricia) Randall; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children. Also surviving are his brother Kent (Geraldine) Randall, and sister Betty Rose.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alma & Marie Randall, his sister Shirley Sommers and brother Dennis Randall.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Rocky Mt. Care Center and Hospice especially Melissa, Gabby, Angie, Tracy and Ever.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday Feb 5th at 11 a.m. at the Milton Church (1255 N Morgan Valley Dr.). The viewing will be held at Walker Mortuary (45 W 200 N, Morgan) on Wed. Feb 4th 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. and Thursday Feb. 5th at the church from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Milton Cemetery.
