Glen Patrick Hillaker, 64, gained his angel wings on March 20, 2025. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Huntsman Cancer Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 6, 1961 in Ogden, Utah to Gerald and Karen Hillaker. He was the second of four children; Rick, (Glen), John, and Shelley. He lived in Ogden, Utah until 1980 when he moved to Soda Springs, Idaho.
Growing up he spent his summers with his grandparents and family out at Whitelocks in Henry, Idaho. It was here that Glen and his family spent time together playing cards, playing spoons, and growing close. He never had a cousin that he didn’t love.
He worked at Simplot, Becker, Washington Construction, Nu-West, then retired after 32 years from Agrium. He became an EMT and CPR instructor. Glen was a dedicated worker and well loved coworker. He was an avid hunter, spending time with his sons, cousins, and nephews in the mountains. He loved fishing and spending time on the water with his wife, children, family, and friends. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He met the love of his life, Pamela Smedley Hillaker, and they were married on June 5, 1982 in Soda Springs, Idaho. They loved spending their time together golfing, fishing, camping, being with their kids and grandkids, and just being with one another. They were blessed with three children: Candace, Patrick, and Trever.
Glen spent the last few months of his life taking care of his parents in Ogden, Utah. During this time, he grew closer to his cousins and nephews, playing card games, attending ball games, and spending quality time with family.
He is survived by his wife Pamela Hillaker (Smedley); his three children Candace Jean Low (Hillaker), Glen Patrick Hillaker Jr., and Trever Jay Hillaker; five grandchildren Rylan, Zeza, Jarryn, Crixus, and Arya; his mother Karen Hillaker (Whitelock), brother John Hillaker; and many wonderful in-laws. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Hillaker, his sister Shelley Hawkins (Hillaker), his brother Rick Hillaker, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at the Huntsman Cancer Center for their compassion and care. We would also like to thank Dr. Riley and Rachel Hobbs for opening up their home for us to stay while Glen was in the hospital.
No services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held later this summer
