MORGAN--Glen R. Rollins, loving husband, Dad, Grandpa, & Great-Grandpa, passed away quietly and peacefully from this earthly life at his home on Friday, August 24, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was welcomed home by his mom & dad, other loved ones, and friends who have passed on before him.
He was born on December 5, 1923 in Devils Slide, Utah to Ghomer and Altha Rollins. He lived his whole life in Morgan County, graduated from Morgan High School, and served in the Navy during World War II. He married his high school sweetheart Betty Mae Stuart on Febuary 21, 1944 on the Rollins family farm in Stoddard, Utah while he was on leave from active duty in the Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his lawn mower around the neighborhood with his dog TT riding in back. Spending warm winters at his home in Mesquite with his loving wife. He especially enjoyed doing things with his family. He worked on the family farm and retired from Hill Air Force Base. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Betty, three daughters and one son, Marsha (Jerry) Sheen, Roy, Utah; Greg (Rebbecca) Rollins , Ogden, Utah; Patricia Rollins, Salt Lake City, Utah; Leisa (Kelly) Wilson, Morgan, Utah; 15 Grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to give special thanks to Vista Care, Jeri Miconi, and Stacey House for showing great love and compassion for our husband, dad, and grandpa and Great grandpa. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28 at 11 AM at the Morgan Stake Center, 355 N. 700 E. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary at 45 W. 200 N. in Morgan on Monday, August 27 from 6 to 8 PM and at the Church Tuesday prior to the services at 9:45 to 10:45.
