Greg Michael Minster

August 24, 1982 – July 31, 2022

Greg Michael Minster passed away at his home in Morgan, Utah on July 31, 2022 of natural causes.  He was born in Ogden, Utah on August 24, 1982 to Brent and Melva Minster.  He graduated from Morgan High School.

Greg entered this life with a number of physical problems.  He was diagnosed with acute scoliosis at the age of 12 and again at 16.  Greg went through two major back operations.  These both affected his growth, but he never let his small frame get in his way.  In many ways, he was a GIANT of a man.  Greg had a heart as big as the outdoors.  There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t try.  Greg loved the outdoors and his greatest passion was fishing.  When asked how long he would be gone fishing he would say “not till I catch at least one!”  Another passion Greg had was his music.  He was an accomplished drummer and also loved playing his guitar.  He could pick up any instrument and figure out how to play it.  One of Greg’s greatest traits was his friendly smile and his ability to make friends with anyone.  He touched the lives of everyone he met.  Even though Greg never married, he loved little children and treated them like his own.  Greg’s best friend was his dog Sclooger.  They were in separable.  When his dog died, part of Greg died. If there is a dog heaven, Sclooger was waiting for Greg.   He will be remembered for his wonderful smile, his kind heart and most of all, the way he could make you feel.  Oh my son, you will be truly missed.  My heart is broken…but I know we will be together again. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Greg is survived by his father and mother and four loving sisters.  Tim and (Debra) Berrett, Toby and (Sherrie) Lane, Tim and (Kristie) Wilkinson and Kevin and (Jamie) Reeves,  and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of a viewing or funeral, there will be a celebration of life for Greg.  It will be Saturday August 6th at 1:00 pm at Gaileys Farm in Porterville, Utah  4075 S Hwy 66. Everyone is welcome. There will be an open mic for memories.
