Huxton D. Gines

Our sweet baby Huxton returned to our Heavenly Father on January 25, 2024 after a short three weeks on earth. Hux passed in his Mommy’s arms with his Daddy beside her at Primary Children’s Hospital after a battle with the infection Group B strep that led to meningitis which ultimately ended his life.

Huxton was born on January 3, 2024 to Dakody and Sabrina Gines joining his big sisters Tynslee, Brexlee, and Fynnlee. Hux was an instant light in his family’s life from the moment he was born. He was a sweet, sweet baby who rarely cried. He loved snuggling on his daddy’s chest and gave the best gazes into his mommy’s eyes. Hux’s big sisters were very proud of him and were constantly asking for a turn to hold him. Despite his short time on earth, he was deeply loved, and brought immense joy to those around him.

In Hux’s final hours on earth he was surrounded by many loved ones and was given the most beautiful blessing by his daddy.

Hux will forever be remembered by his parents, Dakody and Sabrina Gines, his big sisters, Tynslee, Brexlee, and Fynnlee. His four grandparents Tracy and Stephanie Givan and Rick and Lynette Gines, his six great-grandparents, 6 uncles and aunts, and 19 cousins. We feel comfort in knowing he was welcomed by many grandparents and great grandparents alongside our Heavenly Father and Savior at heavens gates.

“Your spirit was brought to us from a wish made of love. We couldn’t believe it when we realized we’d been blessed from above.

I had to realize that because you were so special, God needed you more than I. It helps me when I feel His loving hands wipe away my tears as I cry.

I know that someday we’ll be together again, but for now I’ll keep you in my heart. Know that I love you more than words can say and that God will protect you while we’re apart.”

Hux, we will hold you in our hearts, until we can hold you in heaven, our sweet baby boy.

Hux’s parents would like to thank the amazing staff of doctors, nurses, and social workers at Primary Children’s Hospital, Park City Hospital, and Intermountain Life Flight for the love, compassion, and care of our precious baby boy. And a big thank you to the amazing family, friends and community for the love, prayers and support as they rallied behind our family in this time of need. We are forever grateful.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Coalville Utah Stake Center. A visitation will be held Monday February 5, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm, with another visitation from 9:45 am to 10:45 am before the funeral. Interment will be at the Coalville City Cemetery.

In honor of baby Hux the family has requested that all who attend the services wear white or blue.
