"Semper Fidelis"
In loving memory of John "Jack" Draper honored and decorated Marine. He departed this life on October 6, 2013 after a long and eventful life.
He was born May 18, 1921 to parents John W. Draper Sr. and Bernice Ashbaugh in Storrs Utah.
His service included 3 and a half years as a "guest of the Emperor of Japan" POW. He received many medals for his service in including six purple hearts and a bronze star.
He is preceded in death by Delbert A. Draper Sr., Clifford Draper and Don H. Draper, a daughter Tina Draper Wood, and a son Baby Jack.
Surviving are his wife Constance B. Draper, sister Betty Draper (Lamont) Johnson, sons Craig Draper and Jack Draper Jr. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend gratitude to those of Garden Terrace and George E. Wahlen home for Veterens for the loving care shown to our "Pappa."
Memorial services will be held Friday October 11, 2013 at 12 noon at Walker Mortuary in Morgan (45 West 200 North) with a visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Cemetery (17111 S. Camp Williams Rd. in Bulffdale Ut.) at 2 p.m. where Military Honors will take place.
