June Little

October 4, 1919 — January 10, 2013

MORGAN - June Rawle Little, 93, passed away Thursday January 10, 2013 at the home of her sister Ruby Carrigan in Morgan Utah. June was born October 4, 1919 to her parents Ernest Jedediah and Lydia Edith Rawle Little at the home she lived in all her life in Morgan Utah. She graduated from Morgan High School. June worked at the telephone office as a switchboard operator, at Hopkin's Cafe with her aunt and uncle and at Williams & Sons General Store. She started working at the First National Bank of Morgan in August of 1943 where she retired in 1992 after more than 49 years of service.

June was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. She served in many positions in her ward and stake. She often served as a secretary, sang in the ward choir and some stake musical productions. She and her sister Margaret faithfully sent out a monthly letter to all the missionaries in the stake for several years as well as the ward newsletter. She was involved with the extraction program (indexing) for many years. She also attended the temple weekly with her sister Ruby and their friends as long as health permitted.

She was the registrar for Vital Statistics (death certificates) in Morgan County from 1968-1993. She was a charter member of the Culturettes Club and served as an officer several times.

June never had the opportunity to marry and have children of her own, but she was like a second mother and grand-mother to her nephews, nieces and their children and grand-children. Each will remember her for the love she expressed, the mission support, birthday and anniversary cards she gave, and the delicious food she created, especially her hand dipped chocolates.

She is preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, Margaret; brother-in-law, Bert Carrigan; and sister-in-law, Roberta Guild Little. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Carrigan of Morgan; brothers, Keith Little (Faye Donna) of Morgan; and Ernest Little of Kaysville. She was known and loved as Aunt June by her nephews, nieces, their children and grand-children. June will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A special thank you to Hospice for Utah, for their tender care to June and the family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan 15, 2013 at 12 noon at the Rock Church, 10 West Young Street, Morgan. Friends and family may call at Walker Mortuary Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.

Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
