Karen Sophia Hefner-Ramey, age 62, passed away after a well fought battle with covid on Wednesday April 21, 2021.
Karen was born and raised in San Fernando Valley in California on September 21, 1957 to Harvey and Martha Hefner. The oldest of seven children she spent most of her life in California hanging out at the beach and working different jobs throughout her teenage years. After graduating from Marysville in California, she pursued an associates degree from Antelope Valley College, in California graduating with an associate degree in 2010.
Karen was always the caregiver of the family, watching over her younger siblings, grandparents, and mother, Martha, until her death on June 30, 2014. Karen moved with her daughter to Reno, Nevada living there until she settled in Coalville, Utah with her youngest sister, Carol.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister Sherri, and nephew JJ.
Karen is survived by son Nicholas Anderson his wife Danielle Anderson their two children Allison and Mya, her daughter Suzanne Saenz her wife Natasha and their two children Sam and Austin. Her brother Richard Hefner, brother Rikki Hefner his wife Jeanette, her youngest sister Carol Davis, and many nieces & nephews.
Karen was a convert to the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and has lived out the last five years serving the Lord and caring for her sister Carol.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Coalville Stake Center on 40 N. Main Street Coalville UT 84017 at 3 PM. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations are appreciated to cover costs make donations to Venmo, PayPal or Zelle to 661-728-7263
