Karri Lynn Larsen unexpectedly left this earth on March 26, 2025. Karri was born September 26, 1975. She was the oldest of three daughters. Growing up, Karri participated in horse 4H, and played on the high school girls basketball team. She enjoyed deer hunting on horseback with her dad and would often recount the time her horse side stepped up a steep hill when faced with a pack llama. Karri began dating Stan during their senior year of high school and they graduated together in 1993. They married on January 29, 1994 and were later sealed together for time and all eternity in the Ogden temple. Karri and Stan were married for 31 wonderful years.
Over the course of her life she was involved in many different things. Karri spent many hours volunteering to chaperone field trips or give demonstrations at the elementary school's annual mountain man day. She was a familiar face at the county fair where she oversaw the poultry building for many years. Her love for animals was passed onto her children. She got them involved in the local junior livestock show and could be found in the hog barn helping not only her own kids, but any others who needed a helping hand. As her kids grew, she got involved in helping with the FFA. Karri was almost always on the bus chaperoning an Ag tour. She enjoyed learning along with the kids she was with and passed along her knowledge where she could. No activity was off limits and she was always in the middle of the fun whether it was mud volleyball or a squirt gun battle during the homecoming parade.
She was a quiet cheerleader for not only her own children but those she opened her home to. All were welcome in her house and there was often a revolving group of kids coming and going. Each was welcomed and loved as if they were her own.
At home, Karri loved to garden. Her table was always full of plant starts, usually with something unique in the mix. She enjoyed growing onions, tomatoes and peppers to make homemade salsa. She loved to create things. Karri dabbled in brain tanning, taxidermy, and European skull mounts. She added her special flare to each of her projects.
Karri was always unapologetically her true self. She never backed down from what she believed was right and defended those she loved with a fierceness that could not be rivaled
Karri is survived by Stan, her husband of 31 years, her three children Tyler Larsen, Jessica (Bryce) Preece Jamie Larsen, two grandchildren Samuel and Amelia Preece, two sisters Staci Andrews Schlack, Heather (Trevor) Lee, nieces and nephews Hunter, Kaylee, Boston and Quincy Schlack, Taylor and Evelyn Lee, and her mother Marion Andrews. She is preceded in death by her father Ron Andrews who we are sure welcomed her to heaven with open arms and a smart remark. Karri was a light in the life of everyone she met and we will miss her dearly.
