MORGAN - Keith Donald Dawson was called back to his Heavenly Father August 11, 2011. He was born January 23, 1947 to Donald and Vera Dawson in Coalville, Utah. He married Peggy Ann Richins on August 25, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Keith grew up in Henefer, Utah, hunting, fishing and riding horses. As a youth he worked on many of the nearby ranches. When he was first married, he worked as a machinist for his uncle. He ended his career working at the Devil Slide Cement Plant where he worked in many different positions. He retired after 30 years of service. Keith enjoyed retirement traveling with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He was a long-time resident of Morgan, Utah where he raised his family.
Keith severed a Church History Service Mission and worked at the temple in Ogden, later he served as a secretary to the Stake President.
The three things Keith loved most in life were his family, the outdoors, and Christmas. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggy, his daughter, Jennifer Hardy, his son, Christopher (Megan) Dawson, one sister, Sheryl Waldron, and three grandchildren: Braydon Hardy, Rylie and Chase Dawson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Vera Dawson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at 11 a.m. at the Morgan Stake Center, 355 N. 700 E. Viewings will be held Tuesday, August 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 45 W 200 N Morgan, UT, and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the church prior to services.
Interment will be at the Henefer Cemetery.
He will be greatly missed.
