Keith Rawle Little, known as Cotton, 95, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, into grandma’s loving arms at the McKay Dee Hospital, in Ogden, Utah surrounded by family.
Dad was born on May 4, 1922 in his family home in Morgan, Utah to Ernest Jedediah and Lydia Edith Rawle Little. Dad lived in Morgan all his life. After dad graduated from Morgan High School, he joined the Navy on October 26, 1942. He served on the USS New Mexico and the USS Missouri, as a radio intercept operator, copying the Japanese code so the Allied Forces knew what was going on. Three and a half years later, he returned home to Morgan and worked at the Naval Base and Hill Air Force Base for 34 years. Also upon returning home, while getting his oil changed at the old Heiner Garage, he noticed sweet little Faye Donna Mecham and 6 months later they were married on July 3, 1946 in the Logan Temple. Their greatest accomplishments were raising their two children, Susan (Steve) Porter, and Jeff (Melody) Little
Together, mom and dad worked side-by-side throughout their 69 years of marriage. Dad worked in many church positions, including: Bishop, Stake President, Stake Patriarch, and Sealing Supervisor. Mom and dad worked in the Sealing Office in the Ogden Temple for 20 plus years and absolutely loved the people with whom they worked.
Everyone loved the friendly and efficient service mom and dad gave to the community as Morgan County Fair secretary for 32 years.
Dad was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, three sisters, and grandsons, Colby Keith Little and Smith Daniels Brown.
He is survived by his children, seven grandchildren: Heidi (Greg) Cox, Josh (Katie) Porter, Courtney (Cody) Brown, Jake (Brooke) Porter, Cari (Jesse) Woolsey, Lindy (Cameron) Goldsberry, Kip Little, and granddaughter-in-law Ashlee Little. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to the many neighbors, especially Rod and Barbara Spencer. The family would like to thank Corey Blonquist, the home care nurse from Encompass, for her tender loving care, as well as the McKay Dee Hospital staff for their compassionate care to dad and his family.
