LaNeil Jensen

LaNeil McCrary Jensen, 75 passed away October 16, 2021, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

LaNeil was born May 14, 1946 to Neil and LeOra McCrary.  She married Phillip N Jensen on November 7, 1963.  She was a young bride who dropped out of high school to marry the love of her life. She later went back to school to earn her high school diploma. She knew that having her diploma was important and she wanted to set a good example for her 3 children.  Phil is from Morgan, Utah and he and LaNeil raised their young family there for a few years before moving to Layton. Phil worked at Hill Air Force Base and LaNeil was a stay at home mom other than a few part-time jobs she held over the years. She was an active member of the Church of Latter-day Saints and she held many positions there.

Her and Phil enjoyed taking trips to the west coast, to Colorado, and to Tuacahn to see the live shows.  Many times they would take friends and family with them to share the experiences that they cherished.  She loved spending time with family and friends. She would start planning Christmas parties at the Labor Day get together just to make sure everyone had time to clear their calendars. As the years went on family gatherings started happening less often and she was disappointed.  One of her last wishes was to have friends and family come to visit her.  It was great to see the joy that was brought her in her final days as people arrived. We thank all of you for making that wish come true for her.

LaNeil is survived by her husband, Phillip Jensen of Riverdale; daughter, Janet (Lute) Morfin of Riverdale; sons, Eric (Stefani) Jensen of Morgan, and Alan (Melissa) Jensen of Sunset; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are her brothers, Calvin (Marsi) McCrary, Phil McCrary and David (Tammy) McCrary and her sister, Kathy (Don) Arrowsmith.

A viewing will be held Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, located at: 45 W. 200 N. Morgan, Utah 84050.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. (visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.) at the Riverdale 8th Ward LDS Church located at: 4000 Parker Drive, Riverdale, Utah 84405.

Interment will be at 2 pm at Milton Cemetery located at 1585 N. Morgan Valley Drive, Morgan, Utah 84050
