Our loving husband, father, grandfather, Leo John Zanelli, passed away on March 23, 2018 at home surrounded by his family and friends.
Leo was born Dec. 15, 1929, in Spring Canyon, Utah to Leo Zanelli Sr. and Anna Poyer Zanelli.
He graduated from high school at Carbon High in 1947. He married Wilma Nelson in 1950. Soon after he was drafted into the Army and served for two years in Korea. When he returned they moved to Salt Lake City where they raised their three children, Don, Gary and Lisa.
Leo loved to water ski, snow ski, fish and later took up golf. He liked sports of all kinds. When they left Salt Lake and moved to Park City, Leo got introduced to the LDS Church by two missionaries and was baptized. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved the church and loved being there. In later years they enjoyed spending winters in Arizona, making many new friends.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma; sons, Don (Gayle), Gary; daughter, Lisa (Rob) Ericson and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother August (Renee) Zanelli of Cypress CA.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 12 noon in the Rock Church, 10 West Young Street, Morgan, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North, Morgan, Ut and Monday at the church from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the South Morgan Cemetery.
