Leon Maxwell

December 6, 1928 — July 13, 2012

COALVILLE - Leon R. Maxwell passed peacefully on July 13, 2012, surrounded by his wife and family. He was born on December 6, 1928 in Park City, Utah. He married his sweetheart, Roma Jean Geary, on April 25, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have four children.

He graduated from South Summit High School, and began working for Brown's Equipment, where he would install and maintain dairy tanks and International Harvester farm equipment. He spent twelve years at Crandall Walker Motors, and retired after a twenty year career with State Farm Insurance, where he was the first recipient of the prestigious 60/60 Partner award. He served as a member of the North Summit School Board from 1966-1974. He is survived by his wife, Roma Jean, of 63 years, and his sister, Belva. Children: Connie (Tom) Swensen, Kelly (Judy) Maxwell, Rodney Maxwell, and Shanna (Clay) Atkinson. 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
