Leora Robinson

April 5, 1911 — March 24, 2010

COALVILLE a" Leora Amanda Rolfe Robinson, our dear mother and grandmother, age 98, returned home to our Heavenly Father on March 24, 2010.

Leora was born on April 5, 1911, the third of six daughters, to Charles Arthur and Ethel Louisa Rasmussen Rolfe. She grew up in Oakley, Utah where she spent her time helping with the family farm and logging business and taking care of her younger sisters. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she was a primary teacher and served in the Relief Society for many years. She had many friends who she took great care of when they needed help. She was an avid seamstress and taught her daughter and grand-daughters how to sew, as well as participating as a sewing instructor in the 4H program. She served many years in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers organization where she along with Kathleen Blonquist and others helped establish the quilting sessions they loved; to help raise money for their camp. She married Warren Robinson on May 15, 1930. They settled in Coalville, Utah and raised three children together on their family farm. She had a sharp wit and a keen sense of humor. Her memory of ancestors and people of the community could not be equaled. She will be greatly missed by her son Dwayne who stayed with her and took care of her for many years. She appreciated him and everything he did for her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Warren, son James Ernest Robinson, Son-in-law Harold Eugene DeWeese, great-grandsons: Kelsey Robinson, Mitchell DeWeese and Luke Stephens; sisters: Velma Marchant, Elma Winterton, Wanda Penrod and Merle Anderson. She is survived by her son Warren Dwayne Robinson, daughter Phyllis DeWeese, daughter-in-law Utahna Robinson, sister Mona Leichty, 12 grandchildren, 36 great-granchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Debbie Robinson and Kellie Robinson for their countless hours of special help and care of her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Coalville Stake Center. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
