Linda B. Staley, 70 of Coalville, Utah, passed away September 18, 2023. She was born January 21, 1953, in Manti, Utah to Dean and Beulah Braithwaite and was the oldest of six children. Her mother passed away when she was 16, and shortly after her dad married Bertha Anderson.
Linda graduated from North Summit High School and married Brent Staley on February 16, 1974. They had 3 children Darrell (Heather) Staley, Laura (Michael) Marsh, and Dee (Shyrell) Staley. She was a cherished grandmother to Madi, Carter, Taylor, Aliza Staley, Justin and Garrett Marsh, Colby, Chris, and Makenzie Staley. After being a stay-at-home mom and raising her kids, she went to work at the Spring Chicken Inn, Denise’s Homeplate, and then she worked at Walmart in Park City for 22 years before retiring.
You could always find Mom at her sewing machine, making something new, mending, or altering something for someone, or at her kitchen table decorating cake. She enjoyed the annual family camping trips or pack trips on the horses, and she loved to cook in the Dutch oven for her family. She also enjoyed traveling and her trips to Disneyland.
Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had many callings but her favorite was the Nursery where she served for over 20 years of her life. Her faith was an essential part of her life.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, her children, and her siblings - Wendy Robinson, Susan Siddoway, Sherry Parret, Stephen Braithwaite, and David Braithwaite. She is preceded in death by her parents Dean and Beulah Braithwaite, and stepmother Bertha Braithwaite.
Funeral Services will be Friday, September 22, 2023 at noon at the Hoytsville LDS Church 1095 S Hoytsville Rd. Hoytsville, Utah with a Viewing before the services from 10:00 to 11:30
