Morgan - Lola Mae Hoover Walker, 77, died November 07, 2007 in Ogden, Utah. Born in Provo, Utah January 18, 1930, she was the daughter of Raymond Upton and Elveretta Richardson Hoover.
On June 22, 1949, she married Robert Mark Walker in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death October 26, 1997.
Lola Mae was an avid golfer and loved to travel. She had a wonderful group of friends whom she treasured so much. A lover of books, she was a charter member of the literary group in Morgan. Her wonderful sense of humor was enjoyed by everyone. She and her husband founded Walker Mortuary of Morgan and Coalville and spent their lives serving others. Spending time with her family was her most cherished activity.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions including Stake Camp Director, Primary President, and Relief Society President. She and her husband served two missions to Ghana Accra and Ivory Coast Abidjan in 1988 and Philippines Baguio in 1997. She served in the Ogden Temple for many years.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters: Robert Kraig (Debra), Morgan; Connie (Dee) Kippen, Morgan; Mark Lee (Janene) Walker, Morgan; Nancy (Paul) Kearl, Riverton, WY; Tracy Ray (Kathryn) Walker, Modesto, CA; 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Barbara Redford, Orem. She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Norma Hamilton.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov 10, 2007 at 12 p.m. in the Morgan Stake Chapel. Friends may call at Walker Mortuary, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
