HOYTSVILLE a�" Sarah Louise Durrant Judd, 83, returned to her Father in Heaven on December 13, 2008 at her home in Hoytsville, Utah surrounded by her family.
She was born August 23, 1925 in Porterville, Utah to Richard William and Afton Carter Durrant. She graduated from Park City High School with the Class of 1943. In the late summer of 1946 she met Grant L. Judd of Coalville, Utah and after a short courtship , they were married November 13, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in several callings including Primary Secretary for over twenty years. She and her husband did extraction work and were ordinance workers in the Ogden and Dallas Temples and also served a short term mission to Jackson, Mississippi.
Mother was a talented lady and many people were blessed by these talents. Her talents included a beautiful garden and flowers, home preserves, homemade hand dipped delicious chocolates, homemade peppermint chews, crocheting afghans, counted cross stitch, jigsaw puzzles, handiwork, excellent cooking, genealogy work and a kind heart. She always supported her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in all different activities.
She and her husband are the parents of five children, Boyce (Ella Mae), Rickey (Lew Jean), Charlotte (Boyd) Willoughby all of Coalville; Jeffrey (Sheryll) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Brett (Teena) Syracuse, Utah. They have 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Grant; her brothers Bill and Blaine; her sisters Doris, Karen, and Joan; and a sister-in-law, Betty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Dale Durrant, a sister Verla Simpson, and a grandson Lincoln Judd.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 1 pm in the Hoytsville Ward Chapel. Friends and family may call at the church Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm.
Interment, Hoytsville Cemetery.
