Louise Waldron

Louise Butters Waldron, 92, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Ogden, Utah.

She was born August 23, 1916 in Morgan, Utah to Henry James and Artie Robison Butters. She grew up in Morgan and graduated from Morgan High. She married her high school sweetheart Stewart G. Waldron on August 23, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away May 26, 1978.

They settled in Morgan on a dairy farm and raised six children. Louise loved being a farmer's wife, she was known for always preparing large meals for anyone who dropped by, no one ever left hungry.

She was an active member of the LDS church and served diligently in numerous callings. At age 70, she served a LDS mission in Las Vegas, NV.

She was a warm and caring community leader who silently served. She received "The Living Treasure Award" given by Weber/Morgan Council volunteer programs. She was a volunteer at St. Benedict's Hospital. She was also involved in Morgan County's Red Cross, Farm Bureau, Dairy Association, and Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She is survived by her five children, Elaine (Joseph) Page, Syracuse; Jeanine (Gary) Carter, Dee Alan (Sherry) Waldron, Morgan; Christine (Dan) Andrews, West Haven; Leon (Melodie) Waldron, Maple Valley, Washington; 35 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and sister Donna Perry of Ogden. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, son Jack, parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

The family expresses special thanks for the loving care at Manor Care and to Amy and Mindy of Pinnacle Hospice.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Morgan 6th Ward Chapel, 2700 S. Morgan Valley Drive, Porterville. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.

Interment South Morgan Cemetery.
