LuGene Jones

LuGene Nielsen Jones, of Henefer, died March 3, 2016 at her home of natural causes.
She was born September 19, 1927 in American Fork, Utah to Frank Otto and DeVona DeSpain Nielsen. Her mother died when LuGene was 7 years old. She was raised by her dad and step-mother Annie.
She married Thomas Howard Jones, May 10, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They raised a family of 4 boys and 1 girl. He passed away Aug. 9, 1998.
She was active in the LDS church holding many positions.
She is survived by four sons; Thomas Allen (Sheila), Ralph Frank (Cheryl), Kent Howard (Linda), Larry R. (Leslie); and one daughter, Marilyn (William) Blakley all of Henefer. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and two sisters, Charlotte and Ann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, and three sisters.
Viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Henefer LDS Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00, March 8, 2016 with a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the services.
