Mack Peterson

MORGAN - Mack C. Peterson, 89, died Friday, October 15, 2010 in Morgan. He was born November 25, 1920 in Milton, Utah to Cleve and Edith Peterson. He married Betty Sommers August 27, 1941. She died October 6, 1990. He later married June Schaelling Nov 2. 1991. She died December 6, 2007.

He was a member of the LDS Church. Mack graduated from Morgan High School. He served in the military during World War II. He worked at Hill Air Force Base 32 years, retiring in 1975. He also worked for the State of Utah as Morgan County Fire Warden. He left his family quite a legacy. He had a great love for the outdoors, hunting, horses, and spending time with his family and friends. His keen sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was very active in the community and helped establish the Milton Park, formed the Morgan Jr. Posse, and the American Legion.

He is survived by the following children; Judy (Sonny) Brandt, Donise Peterson (John Lane), Brad (Annette) Peterson, Penny (Jim) Taylor, Heidi (Marshall) Webb. Trent (Nancy) Schaelling. Also surviving is one sister, Eileen Johnson. He has 24 Grandchildren , 39 Great grandchildren and 8 Great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert, both wives, one son, Kirk C. Peterson, one granddaughter, and three grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 12 noon in the Milton Church. Friends and family may call at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan, Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the Milton Church to 10:45 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Interment, Milton Cemetery.
