Margaret Bohman

March 11, 1922 — August 8, 2008

Margaret Elaine Jorgensen Bohman, our beloved mother, was reunited with our dear father, Roland, Friday, Aug. 8, 2008. The pain of losing her hurts, but knowing she is able to rest and is with our father sustains us through our grief.

Mom was born March 11, 1922 to Arthur and Beatrice Jorgensen in Ogden, Utah. In 1938, Mom married Roland Bohman in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they lived in Peterson where mom and dad raised and loved five children.

Mom was a mother to her younger sister ReneA, and when ReneA was a freshman in high school she joined the family on the farm.

Mom was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as ward Young Women's president and as a counselor in the stake Young Women's presidency. Some of her best memories were directing road shows and stake plays.

She also loved attending the Morgan County Fair every year. Mom was involved in many aspects of her children and grandchildren's lives.

Later in life she enjoyed her involvement in the Morgan County Senior Citizen's program where she painted and socialized with her friends. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and Kopen Du Coin (Friends of the Neighborhood). In 1985, as a member of the Utah State Poetry Society she was excited to have a poem published in the book Utah Sings.

Mom was an artist extraordinaire, and her art is a focal point in the homes of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by children Art (Sherry) Bohman, Cedar City; Janeal (Rex) Wilkinson, Mountain Green; Richard (Connie) Bohman, serving in the Suva, Fiji mission; Eldon (Linda) Bohman, Syracuse; Joann (Larry) Hess, Clinton; and foster son Joseph (JoAnne) Edwards, Forest Hills, Calif.; sisters, ReneA Bohman, Peterson; brothers, Marlin (Jana) Jorgensen Clearfield, Sandra (Ronald) Wakefield, Layton. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, 10 foster grandchildren and 18 foster great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Beatrice; her husband, Roland; brothers, Arthur, Jr., Gordon and Donald; great-grandson, Stephen Sessions and great-granddaughter, April Bohman.

Mom's funeral will take place Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Morgan Utah North Stake Center, 2755 W. Old Highway Rd. There will be a viewing Tuesday Aug. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 N., Morgan and Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Morgan North Stake Center.
