Marselle Williams

August 5, 1922 — August 18, 2012

Marselle B. Williams, age 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving and beloved family on August 18, 2012. Marselle was born August 5, 1922 in the small town of Grasscreek, near Coalville, Utah, to Edgar Gerald Bullock and Maybelle Salmon Bullock. After graduating from North Summit High School she attended Brigham Young until the outbreak of World War II when she joined in the war effort with a position at Hill Field. She married her High School sweetheart Robert Arnold Williams, January 29, 1944, who was immediately deployed to the European Theater of Operations serving with General George S. Patton. She enjoyed her life in Coalville, Utah and the last 9 years she lived in Hoytsville and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Hoytsville 1st Ward.

She lived a wonderful and fulfilling life of service having served in leadership positions at the Stake and Ward level in the Relief Society, Primary and Young Women's Organization. She especially enjoyed her service as the Coalville, Utah Stake Young Women's Camp Director, a calling she held for 14 years. Following her retirement from North Summit School District as the High School Secretary for 24 years, she was called to serve in the Utah, Salt Lake City Mission. One of her most cherished awards was being selected as a "Brave to the Bone" award recipient for her lifelong support of North Summit High School activities. Marselle was also an active member of the DUP, American Legion Auxiliary and the BPW

Marselle is survived by her children Michael (Linda) Cottonwood Heights, Robert (Joye) Hoytsville, David (Marva) Sandy, Heidi (Bruce) Anderson Soda Springs, ID, Jeffrey (Lori) Coalville; 18 grandchildren, 51 great grand children, her brother Wayne of Fort Collins Colorado, and Sister Helen Thiriot of Coalville. She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband Bob. A special thanks to Encompass Hospice Care for their loving compassionate service.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Coalville Stake Center. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.

Interment will be at the Coalville City Cemetery.
