Mary F Richins Fawcett
Henefer - Mary F Richins Fawcett, our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at her home in Henefer, UT.
She was born on September 5, 1928 in Henefer to Norman Tipper and Elva Mary Fowler Richins. She enjoyed her youth and loved her home and heritage. Mary graduated from North Summit High School where she served as a student body officer.
She married her eternal sweetheart, Joe Cromar Fawcett, on October 24, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of eight children. Mary dedicated her life to her family and worked tirelessly alongside her husband in the sheep and cattle business.
She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and loved serving in many auxiliary organizations, and especially enjoyed her service in the Ogden Temple. An exemplary visiting teacher, she was always willing to lift others. Mary was an active member and leader in the Utah and Summit County Wool Growers Auxiliaries, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the Summit County Historical Society. She also oversaw the Henefer Cemetery records for many years.
Mom loved her family, music, animals, and history. One of her most special talents was taking and sharing photos of events with friends and family.
She is survived by six sons and two daughters: Lane (Elaine), Bountiful; Joel (Ann), Dublin, VA; Alan (Joan), Henefer; Nolan (Paula), Layton; Londo (Tammy), Spanish Fork; Evan (Deb), Clearfield; Marybeth (Wade) Judd, Coalville; Rozanne (Yancey) Staples, Henefer; 37 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Alden (Dorothy) Richins, Centerville; Grant (Emma) Richins, Henefer; Myron (Maxine) Richins, Henefer; a sister, Lorraine (Bob) Heiner, Morgan; a special aunt, Veda Brooks, Henefer; and many nieces and nephews who adore her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe. We have been blessed by our association and will cherish our memories of her until we are united once again.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Henefer Ward Chapel.
