Max Duncan

Max Orvil Duncan passed away December 18, 2014 surrounded by family. He was 77.

Max was born on December 30, 1936 in Ogden, Utah to Orvil Charles Duncan and Mae Whitear Duncan.  Married to Betty Lou Thomas September 15, 1960. They later divorced.  Max married his eternal companion Joan Francis Morgan May 18, 1979 civilly. They were sealed in the Idaho Fall temple Jan 28, 1989.

Max worked over 35 years in sales and management for Living Scriptures in Idaho and Utah.  His work enabled him to travel to many places with his wife and his many co-workers he called friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He served faithfully an LDS mission in the Southern States mission and has served in many church callings since. He was a living example of kindness and patience to all who knew him. His quiet and meek demeanor will be missed by friends and family until we meet again.

Max is survived by his wife Joan Francis Morgan and children; Bryant (Cristy) Duncan, Terese (Arnell) Ellis, Jed (Tracie) Duncan and Paul (Laurel) Duncan; Brothers, Kenneth (Grace) Duncan, Dean (Patsy) Duncan.  Accompanying them are step-children Cathy (Bob) Harvey, Cindy (Bill) Wright, Dana (Julie) Russell, Andy Russell, Ben (Monica) Russell, Becky (Ron) Hales, Emily Afuvai as well as 34 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at 12:00pm at the LDS meeting house 2755 West Old Highway Road, Morgan UT, 84050. The viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm and one hour prior to services at the aforementioned address.

Interment will be in the Peterson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by the family to help offset funeral costs.
